Work still left to do for flag fund

To the flag fund contributors and citizens of Norwalk:

The street department now has 140 new finished flagpoles, flags and hardware; 125 are required for uptown displays.

We have more than $3,000 left in the flag fund. The first money we plan to spend is for a new storage box for the flags; the old box was destroyed by the flood.

We then plan to place flags on city buildings that now have none for instance: the street department garage, the sanitation department garage, the park and rec Franklin Street garage, city ball diamonds, etc. until all funds are totally spent.

Getting a commitment of $6,500 in three days was unbelievable. Be proud Norwalk.
