N.L. armed robber gets prison term

A New London man was sentenced to four years in prison Tuesday for a Bellevue gas station armed robbery. On Aug. 15, Chance W. Batesole, 22, of 21 Westwood Drive, put a knife on the counter of the Castalia Street business, telling the clerk "she had about 10 seconds to put the money in the bag," Huron County Prosecutor Russell Leffler said. There was an implication that the robber would use the weapon on her if she didn't comply.
