Police arrest convicted sex offender with firearm outside service station

Four Norwalk officers responded to a Cleveland Road business and arrested a convicted sex offender late Monday afternoon during a traffic stop. Larry F. Adkins, 52, of Wellington, was charged with possessing weapons under disability, a third-degree felony, and improper handling of a firearm, a fourth-degree felony. He currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail awaiting a bond hearing in Norwalk Municipal Court.
