Volunteers from the Norwalk Cheer Elite group gave manicures Monday. Ladies enjoyed their company and the pampering they received. Karaoke with Katrina featured songs by the late Patsy Cline and Elvis Presley. St. Paul Catholic Church volunteer Betty Hipp was here to assist with providing Catholic residents with Communion.
Using the theme "A Reflection of Me" residents constructed paper mirrors with pictures of items that revealed their personality or something about their past. Residents saw the movie "Monster-in-Law" and enjoyred freshly-popped corn. Bingo was played with Kathleen Thill, Donny Myers, Jean Schnellinger, Kay Walton and Russ Presnall winning prizes.
Several residents motored over to Norwalk Memorial Home to join one of their bingo sessions. Their hospitality was greatly appreciated and the homemade fudge a delicious treat. Birthday cake and ice cream were shared as family and friends of Doris Hartman helped her celebrate another milestone in her life. Clark Fisher led a gospel music sing-a-long and shared Bible verses.
Twilight Gardens Home
At word scramble, residents unscrambled 24 words all pertaining to winter time. Zella got the most correct.
When Labelle comes there always is a large crowd. She continued her story called "Christy."
Joe Erdman of St. Paul Episcopal Church held a Communion service. He gave a devotional and sang a hymn.
There was a room filled with bingo players. Gordon H. won the special game where you had to have two bingos on your card to win. Phyllis S., Mary P. and Zella each won two times.
Residents played Jokereno this past Saturday to waste away the day. Residents all really seemed to enjoy this twist on bingo; they also enjoyed the sweet prizes.
Calvary Baptist Church came and gave a devotional and Rev. Strickland was back with us to join in.
Leah Flaherty came and sang while playing the piano.
Current events with Greg Richards always has a big crowd. That's because he always has something very interesting to talk about, it keeps their attention right until the very end.
For fitness fun residents exercised to a video, so that way they would get exercise from head to toes. Everyone was tired when finished. Residents sat and did some relaxing breathing afterwards and some chatting with each other. Robin Bleile, Rosemary Bellamy and Mary Ellen Stehle held a Communion service. Reciting the Rosary followed.
