Smuggling drugs into jail brings prison term for local man

A convicted Willard heroin dealer was sentenced Tuesday to 12 months in prison for hiding six balloons of the same drug in a condom in a body cavity while incarcerated. After corrections officers found the drugs in his jail cell Nov. 10, Marion C. Lindsey Jr., 22, of 201 Washington St., told officers he brought the drugs to the Huron County Jail because he feared having a withdrawal. He had been taken to the jail that day to possibly be transferred to community-based corrections facility (CBCF), a form of prison which focuses on education and substance abuse treatment.
