The ex-boyfriend of a Cuyahoga Falls woman found stabbed to death outside her home last week has been charged with her murder.
An arrest warrant was signed Wednesday morning charging Jeffery Conrad, 43, with aggravated murder. He is expected to appear in Stow Municipal Court later Wednesday.
He has been in custody in Cleveland since he was arrested Thursday night on charges of assaulting a park ranger. That incident came hours after Amanda K. Russell, 40, was discovered dead in the driveway of her Eighth Street duplex.
Russell had obtained a protection order against Conrad in late 2012. She detailed in her application a history of abuse at the hands of Conrad and feared he one day would kill her.
Earlier this year, Conrad was convicted of violating the order and assaulting Russell inside her former home in Akron. He was released from jail in July after serving a two-month sentence.
