The driver in an accident that took place last month has been charged with two offenses.

At 7:48 p.m. Aug. 23, Robert B. Liston, 67, of 142 Brinker St., Bellevue, was eastbound on Ohio 113 and went off the right side, where he hit a sign post, junction box, culvert and mailbox. His vehicle overturned several times and stopped on its wheels in a nearby yard.

A LifeFlight helicopter transported Liston to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo with serious injuries.

Troopers with the Norwalk post of the state Highway Patrol charged Liston with failure to control and a seat belt violation.
