Ryan Cornell has attended seven live concerts featuring the original members of the AC/DC band.
He said he realizes some people haven't even been able to see them live once.
But Cornell and his bandmates hope to provide area residents with the next best thing.
Their band, Night Prowler, will perform in an AC/DC Tribute band concert at 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 31 during the Milan Melon Festival.
"They're sound is instantly recognizable," Cornell said about AC/DC. Since 1973, the band has provided "the world with an essential source of power and energy," according to its website at www.acdc.com. Its high voltage rock 'n' roll has "flowed out into the world via consistently sold-out concert tours and global sales totaling more than 200 million albums and counting."
Cornell didn't shy away from bragging during a recent telephone interview about Night Prowler' ability to remind people about AC/DC. "We get compliments everywhere we go," the 37-year-old said.
