A Norwalk man pleaded guilty Monday to a fourth-degree felony in exchange for prosecutors dismissing one count of burglary.

Austin M. Florek, 19, of 520 Milan Ave., Lot 166, agreed to pay $11.99 in restitution as part of the plea deal. Huron County Common Pleas Judge Jim Conway told him he likely will be sentenced to probation, which could include six to 18 months in jail, since he doesn't have a prior felony conviction.

Florek's conviction is for a May 31 incident. Huron County Assistant Prosecutor Dina Shenker said the defendant took bottles containing pills for two prescriptions without permission from a Milan Avenue mobile home.

The defendant, who has posted a $5,000 bond with a 10-percent provision, is prohibited from being on the victims' premises and can't have any contact with the victims. Florek also is subject to random drug screens.

Hs sentencing hearing is set for Oct. 8.
