As part of the Imagine Norwalk event, the Norwalk Reflector is serving as a drop-off location for canned goods.

After the Aug. 22 Imagine Norwalk event, the canned goods will be donated to the Norwalk Area Food Bank.

Other drop-off points include When Pigs Fly, Patina46, Excel Bike & Fitness, Sheri's Coffee House, Norwalk Area United Fund, The Office Bar, Castle Music & Sound, Charlie's Bar, Jam Gluten-Free Bakeshop by Chef Eric and Dirtsandwich Music Company, LLC.

"We will create a giant community art piece with the cans before hauling them to the Norwalk Area Food Bank," said Chris Castle, owner of Dirtsandwich Music Company.

Anyone wishing to donate can drop off canned goods at any of these locations during the next week or so.

How is this an ALERT?? This is not an alert, this is just info.

I agree that the way our "newspaper" posts news is odd @ best, there are women out here who can't afford food & their kids have no choice. My best guess is the food banks pushed them to run this because their supplies were so low.

Great effort and applause to you Chris Castle.
