Kasey P. Decker, 18, of Huron, was charged with failure to yield from a stop sign Sunday in the collision with the vehicle driven by Dixie L. Nelson, 51, of 9 Ford Ave., at the intersection of U.S. 250 and Greenwich Milan Townline Road. Nelson went off the right side of U.S. 250 after the collision and hit a tree.

Clifton P. Adams, 33, of Garden City, Mich., was charged with driving with an unsecure load Tuesday after the load on his trailer shifted as he attempted to negotiate a right-hand curve on Ohio 99. This caused the tractor-trailer to overturn onto its left side and slide across both lanes before stopping. Willard firefighters transported Adams to Mercy Hospital of Willard with minor injuries.

Brian G. Kieffer, 46, of 2662 Alpha Road, Greenwich, hit a deer Wednesday on Ohio 13.

M’VILLE POLICE

A Chapel Street resident reported vandalism to a vehicle owned by a Wye Street business owner May 8. The silver 1981 Chevrolet Citation was parked in the Wye Street business parking lot.

Jonathan W. Hoyt, 25, of 29 Horseshoe Drive, Monroeville, was arrested on a Sandusky Police Department warrant Saturday and charged with failure to appear for a trial. He was released after posting bond.

Responded to a custody dispute Monday at Monroeville Elementary. Police determined it was in the best interest of the child to go home with his father and recommended both people contact their attorneys.

NORWALK FIRE

Assisted North Central EMS with a patient at 9:06 a.m. Wednesday at 70 Glover Ave. Returned to station at 9:16.

Found a bad electrical outlet during an odor investigation at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday at 791 E. Ohio 61. Firefighters turned off the breaker and removed the outlet. Returned to station at 5:15.

NORWALK POLICE

A local resident reported the theft of his silver and green Huffy mountain bike after he left it in the St. Paul High School bicycle rack Friday.

Immobilzed a South Norwalk Road resident’s 2001 Oldsmobile Alero per a Norwalk Municipal Court order for 30 days starting Tuesday. Police seized the keys as evidence.

Responded to the report of a deceased man Wednesday on Grove Avenue. There were no signs of foul play.

An East Main Street resident reported the theft of his tan and black Himalayan long-hair cat Wednesday.

A Franklin Street resident reported an unruly juvenile Wednesday.

A local resident reported the theft of her son’s burnt orange Next bicycle with silver and blue stripes from the Main Street School bike rack Wednesday.

An area motorist reported the driver of a red Pontiac Grand Am hit the rear of his 2001 Chevrolet Impala while he was heading south Wednesday on Whittlesey Avenue.

Jason J. Haynes, 25, of 539 Gibbs Road, was arrested on three local warrants Wednesday at the Delaware County Jail and charged with failure to pay fines and costs. He is serving a 20-day sentence at the Huron County Jail.

A local resident reported finding a sign and saw in the road Wednesday on James Street.

Matthew T. Dodson, 17, of 118 Belle Ave., Bellevue, was charged with failure to maintain assured clear distance Wednesday after he hit the rear of the stopped vehicle driven by Brenda Martin, 40, of 2761 Omega Road, Greenwich, on Whittlesey Avenue.
