Elifaz Lopez, 53, of 103 Jefferson St., was charged with failure to control and driving under the influence Monday after he went off the right side of Ohio 61 and hit a guardrail. Lopez re-entered the road and went off the left side, hitting a ditch. North Central EMS transported him and his two passengers, Rosalva Lopez, 54, and Estrella Lopez, 1, to Fisher-Titus Medical Center with various injuries.

Stephen J. Valentine, 26, of 2948 Neal Zick Road, Lot 42, Willard, turned himself in on three failure to report to jail warrants Monday. The original convictions were aggravated menacing, disorderly conduct and driving without a license. He is serving a 10-day sentence at the Huron County Jail.

The Norwalk Police Department requested a deputy arrest William M. McCullough, 63, of 1732 U.S. 250, New London, on their failure to report to jail warrant Monday on the original conviction of child enticement. Capt. James “Jamey” Bracken said the defendant was charged with resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer in connection with a deputy being forced to Taser him while resisting arrest at his home. McCullough is serving a 40-day sentence at the Huron County Jail.
