Cocaine suspect arrested

An area motorist caught behind with a suspended license faces two drug charges after a Wakeman traffic stop this weekend.

Edward T. Gibson, 37, of Mansfield, was stopped by Wakeman Police Officer John Katitus about 6:35 p.m. Friday.

"Police located a small baggie of about 2 grams of suspected cocaine and a syringe. Gibson advised police that the items were his," Chief Tim Hunker said.

Gibson was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug abuse instruments and driving with a suspended license.

"He was taken into custody without incident. Inside the vehicle were two juveniles and two other adults. ... (They) were released without incident," Hunker said.

Wakeman is a spped trap so if your drinking or have drugs and driving in Wakeman you will get caught!
