A suspected burglar was arrested early Tuesday morning in connection with a Bouscay Avenue disturbance.

Jesse H. Rose Jr., 19, of 104 Seminary St., was charged with burglary, a second-degree felony, and misdemeanor counts of underage consumption and criminal trespassing at the scene. The Norwalk Police Department responded to a Bouscay Avenue apartment at 3:49 a.m.

"He didn't steal anything," Norwalk Assistant Law Director Scott Christophel said after Tuesday's bond hearing. "At this time I'm not aware of anything being stolen."

Christophel said burglary doesn't have to be associated with a theft, but is defined as trespassing into an occupied structure by force, stealth or deception with the purpose to commit any criminal offense. He declined to elaborate on the allegations against Rose and the police report doesn't provide any further details.

If convicted of burglary, Rose faces two to eight years in prison.

The suspect must post a $25,000 bond before being released from the Huron County Jail. Norwalk Municipal Court Judge Eric Weisenburger told Rose if he posts bail he's prohibited from entering the victim's residence and can't have any contact with him.

Also arrested at the scene was Cody M. Urbine, 19, of 18 State St. He was charged with underage consumption, transported to the station and later released to a sober person.
