"We are excited to bring services to the north side of Norwalk and improve access to rehabilitation services and Industrial Health programs," said Lorna Strayer, Fisher-Titus interim president. "Over the years, residents have expressed a desire for additional Norwalk locations for various hospital-related health-care services. This new facility was designed with both aesthetics and functionality in mind."

This facility was designed to improve access to a variety of outpatient hospital services and offer added conveniences for patients who are on the north side of the medical center's service area; provide space for new services; and offer physician practices the opportunity to locate here. This location provides many benefits including:

n Ample parking and handicap-accessible parking.

n A multidisciplinary approach with Fisher-Titus services conveniently located in the same building.

n A collaborative environment where providers work together to ensure patients receive optimal treatment plans in the most convenient manner.

"We are thrilled to be able to expand our services making them more accessible to residents in Milan, Berlin Heights, Huron and Sandusky," said Dr. Marc Dolce of Northern Ohio Foot & Ankle Specialists, LLC.

"This new facility, which is 1,500 square foot larger than our current Norwalk office, will offer our patients with added benefits including more handicap accessible parking and a multi-disciplinary approach with Fisher-Titus services conveniently located in the same building."

Convenient Care

Coming this fall, Convenient Care is a new service for employed provider group, Fisher-Titus Medical Care, and staffed by a physician and/or nurse practitioner.

Convenient Care will have a shared space with Fisher-Titus Industrial Health which includes a nurse work station designed to allow staff a central hub for department communications and exam rooms designed and equipped in a standardized fashion to allow caregivers/providers to provide care in any room seamlessly.

Services provided are similar to a normal primary care office visit and focus on treatment for minor illnesses/ injuries for adults and children. It has the same co-pay as primary care office visit and walk-ins are welcome -- no appointment necessary.

"The difference with Convenient Care is that you visit this office when you do not have access to your primary care physician -- whether an appointment isn't available or the physician office is closed," said Beth Dille, executive director of Fisher-Titus Medical Care. "Your primary care provider's office will follow up with you after your convenient care visit for additional care. If you do not have a primary care provider, the Convenient Care staff will assist you in establishing a primary care provider."

Industrial Health Services

Industrial Health will be moving from its current location on Executive Drive to this new location and will be open for business at 368 Milan Ave. beginning Monday.

Services offered by Industrial Health Services include: Work Place Injuries and Case Management, DOT Physicals by Certified Physician, Hearing Screenings, Drug and Alcohol Screenings, Spirometry, Pre-Placement Comprehensive Physicals, Educational Seminars and Training to include BWC Compliance, Corporate Wellness Programs, and Transitional Work Program Development.

Outpatiend Lab Services

This blood draw area supplements services at Main Campus and offers a convenient location for patients traveling from the north. Tests that can be collected at the North Side Outpatient Lab include the same testing that is collected at the Fisher-Titus Main Campus Outpatient Lab. There are a few rare exceptions that would require the draw to be performed at the Main Campus. Hours will coincide with the Convenient Care hours.

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Fisher-Titus Medical Center is accredited by the College of American Pathologists.

Outpatient Physical Therapy

Outpatient physical therapy at North Side Medical Office supplements services provided at Walcher Rehabilitation Center on the Fisher-Titus Main Campus and offers a convenient location for patients traveling from the north.

The space for physical therapy is an open concept design so that the 1,800-square-foot space can be used for multiple purposes in addition to therapy. The space will be staffed with a physical therapist and physical therapy assistant. The area officially opens at 8 a.m. Monday. The area is equipped and staffed to see Orthopedic, Balance, Spine, Neurology, Pre/Post Surgery, Foot/Ankle Injury and Geriatric patients.
