A man accused of dealing drugs in another state is expected to be picked up from the Huron County Jail today.

Eric A. May, 33, of Lawrenceburg, Ind., is charged with "dealing in a schedule II controlled substance (oxycodone)" through Dearborn County, Ind. Superior Court, according to court records. The felony was filed July 9.

Huron County Common Pleas Court Judge Jim Conway said authorities expected Dearborn County authorities to pick up May some time after his local July 21 hearing, but they weren't able to do so "due to staffing concerns."

"They are supposed to come Wednesday," the judge said during Monday's hearing.

A further extradition hearing, if needed, was scheduled for next Monday.
