The Stieber lineage continues.

Following the headline makers from Monroeville, this third cousin of Ohio State wrestlers Logan and Hunter Stieber, is just now making a name for himself as a football player at Akron Hoban.

Already verbally committed to the University of Minnesota, Ted Stieber, the 6-foot-6, 300-pound offensive lineman, has had college football and possibly a pro career on his mind ever since he pulled on his first jersey as a third-grader at Wadsworth.

“I have always been a big guy,” the son of Dave and Julie Stieber said. “My size was not the best situation early in my career. It forced the family to move around a bit as a number of youth football programs would not allow a player over 300 to play for fear of someone getting hurt. Consequently, I played one year at Chippewa and another at Revere, schools that did not have weight limits.”

No problem now that he is in high school, playing in one of the best football programs in the state.
