The Dan-Mar Company has officially completed the purchase of the former EPIC Technologies facility in Norwalk.

Huron County Auditor Roland Tkach released the conveyance fee statement, which summarized the transaction, on Friday.

The Dan-Mar Company, located in rural Huron, paid $675,000 for the 200 E. Bluegrass Drive location.

EPIC recently ceased operations in the city, putting its final 85 employees out of work.

The property officially changed hands recently.

Norwalk city council approved a job creation grant agreement earlier this year for Dan-Mar.

As part of the deal, Dan-Mar promised to create at least 42 jobs by Dec. 31, 2016.

According to its website, Dan-Mar Company "provides electronic design, electronic product development, electronic assembly, electronic turnkey contract manufacturing, electronic engineering, value-added electronics, military electronics, automotive electronics, operator interface systems, membrane switch integration, PCB assembly, fiber optic power sources and many other electronic services."

Mayor Rob Duncan is excited about Dan-Mar establishing its business in the city.

"Dan-Mar has intentions of moving in (the) next month and that is pretty exciting," the mayor said. "It's more great news for the community.

"They have quality leadership over there," he added. "I'm certain they will do very well."
