Dennis Doughty recently presided over his last board meeting as the Norwalk City Schools superintendent.

"We want to thank him for his time at Norwalk and everything you've done for the district," board president John Lendrum told Doughty, who is retiring effective July 31.

Board members presented Doughty with a plaque honoring his five years as Norwalk's superintendent, a lifetime Truckers sports pass and a portrait. Lendrum encouraged Doughty to continue to attend Norwalk Truckers sporting events.

The school board also approved three resignations and hired personnel.
