A pair of brothers have been charged in connection with a Harkness Street burglary in Norwalk.

Thomas F. Grossbeck Jr., 33, of Sandusky, is charged with burglary in connection with an incident Tuesday on East Harkness Street. The Norwalk Police Department is handling the ongoing investigation.

"He broke into a residence and stole some personal property," Norwalk Assistant Law Director Scott Christophel said.

The change, cash and foreign coins hadn't been recovered as of Wednesday. According to police, officers responded to the victims' home about 3:45 p.m. and the burglary had happened within the last 15 minutes.

Kenneth M. Grossbeck, 32, also of Sandusky, is charged with complicity to burglary.

"He was the look-out and driver. He aided and abetted his brother, Thomas," Christophel said.

The Sandusky Police Department located both suspects.

Christophel declined to say how the suspects were identified. The prosecutor said the pair knows the victims, but declined to elaborate.

"The defendants did not make any statements indicating it (the burglary) was drug-related. I don't know if they are drug users," he said.
