A city official announced Wednesday that Norwalk will receive a $2 million grant to be used toward road improvements.
Josh Snyder, public works director, said the award is a Small City grant through the Ohio Department of Transportation.
Snyder said 19 cities of the 60 that qualified applied for a portion of the $32 million that was available. When the dust cleared, ODOT only awarded $8 million and Norwalk received $2 million of that.
The funds will be used toward Milan Avenue improvements from League to Main streets.
