Norwalk council approves sending firefighter to Colorado

Railroad to pay cost of program and trip.

Norwalk city council members recently approved sending firefighter Jeff Phillips to Colorado on July 28 for crude by rail emergency response training.

Council had to give the OK on the request because the proposed travel was outside the 300-mile limit.

The total cost of the program and trip will be paid for by the railroad.
