Uptown Norwalk might look a little bit different Friday.
From 4 p.m. until after midnight, local imaginations will take center stage.
“Imagine Norwalk isn’t an event, it’s a mindset,” said Chris Castle, owner of Dirtsandwich Music Company.
“It’s a historic downtown district, alive and rich with art and community,” he added.
“The idea is basically that we’ll all wake up tomorrow and walk out the door into the world,” Castle said. “What kind of world that is depends entirely on us.”
Castle said Norwalk’s citizens can make this city whatever they dream it to be.
“We make music and art and as artists we imagine Norwalk as an oasis for that,” he said. “A place where people can express themselves through music, painting or any other medium.”
Castle said Imagine Norwalk is an open-ended idea.
A number of “happenings” will take place Friday as part of Imagine Norwalk.
