Main Street Intermediate School students taking band, orchestra and choir will have class before school starts next year.

"I can confirm band, choir and orchestra are going from 7:30 to 8:10 (a.m.)," said Sandy Bennett, band director and music teacher at Norwalk high, middle and Main Street schools.

The change in time will take effect during the 2014-2015 academic year. Main Street starts its day with first period at 8:45 a.m. Home room is from 8:32 until 8:42.
