It's full-steam ahead for the Star View drive-in movie theater.

"This year, one of the things we're really trying to do is have first-run movies," said co-owner Steve Witter.

So far, the drive-in has been able to play "Godzilla," "Blended" and "Maleficent" all on the Fridays which they opened.

"How to Train Your Dragon 2" opened nationwide today, and that is the current movie at the Star View. "X-Men: Days of Future Past" is the second movie.

"It's a little more costly to do that and it does require us to keep the movies for at least two weeks," Witter said.

A feature story about the drive-in was published recently in the Norwalk Reflector. So you don't miss stories such as this one, you can subscribe to the Norwalk Reflector to receive home delivery and/or the e-paper, which is a complete digital replica of each issue. " Nothing better than a 'Star View' ( drive in ) " Amen !

Oh how lucky we are to still have a drive-in movie theater.

Here's hoping we always support it and never lose it !

Yes it is nice having a drive-in close by still. Fremont and Sandusky both lost theirs years ago and the only other close one is in Tiffin on the north side. I hope Star View never closes, for I been going to it just under 50 years now, my parents used to take us as kids.

Des anyone remember when it caught fire?
Just wondered what year that was. I was just a little kid the whole family grandparents, and parents sat on the side of Rt. 20 and watched them fight the fire.
