St. Mary/St. Anthony

PSR classes will not be held this Sunday, however, the Sunday preschool will meet during the 10:30 a.m. Mass at St. Anthony.

A farewell dinner will be held today immediately following the St. Mary 4:30 p.m. Mass in Reynolds Hall for Deacon Jack and Margie Bleile, who will be moving to Seattle, Wash. A potluck will also be held Sunday following the 10:30 a.m. Mass at St. Anthony.

N.L. UMC

NEW LONDON The monthly soup and sandwich supper at the United Methodist Church at 58 E. Main St. is from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Jan. 18 and 25.

First Presbyterian, Norwalk

This Sunday during the 9:30 a.m. hour, the Rev. Clair Brewer will lead a new adult education class on Biblical interpretation at the Great Room.

The Rev. Adrian Doll will continue in the preaching series, "Acts for Living" during the morning worship service. Special music will be presented by the church choir, The Westminster Voices.

The junior high youth trip to Winterhurst ice-skating rink will depart from the church at 1 p.m.

The mission committee will host a meeting with Linda Francisco, area director of Habitat for Humanity, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Blue Room.

Clarksfield UMC

CLARKSFIELD This church, located at 5151 Zenobia Road, has a 10:30 a.m. Sunday worship service.

The Rev. Patty Jo Sheldon's sermon will be "The Wonder of it All." The scripture will be from John 2 verse 1 to 11. Logos has started the second half and next Wednesday will be friends night, so those attending should bring a friend.

There will be a Swiss steak dinner with homemade desserts from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Jan. 27.

St. Paul Catholic, Norwalk

This Sunday, Children's Liturgy of the Word will be celebrated at 9 a.m.; Spanish Mass at 1:30 p.m.; blood pressure screening after the 11 a.m. Mass and 1:30 p.m. Mass and fellowship and refreshments after the 7, 9, and 11 a.m. Masses.

The parish potluck supper for all St. Paul parishioners is at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the gathering space. PSR classes are cancelled that day so all families can attend the supper. Plates, cups, napkins, plastic ware, beverages, water, coffee and tea will be provided. Bring the following dish to share if your last name begins with: A to D dessert; E to H side dish; I to L salad; M to Z main dish.

The St. Paul baptism ministry team meets with parents for a three-part series to explore the implications of the sacrament of Baptism for them and their children. Upcoming dates for a Tuesday series are: Jan. 30, Feb. 6 and 13. This will be the last session before Lent as Baptisms are not celebrated in Lent. MONROEVILLE This church, located at 29 Chapel St., Monroeville, welcomes the Rev. Daniel Busch, the Northwest Ohio Association Minister, as guest preacher on Sunday. Busch will bring news of the wider church. There will be a spaghetti dinner and cake auction after worship to support youth and children to go to camp this summer.

First United Methodist

This Norwalk church, located at 60 W. Main St., begins worship at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.

At 8:30 a.m. today, Removal of the Greens will begin.

United Methodist men meet at 8:15a.m. Sunday.

The new six-week adult Sunday school class begins at 9:15 a.m., taught by the Rev. Dr. Roger Smith titled, "Communication."

The sermon title is "Beginnings." about the life of Moses. Naomi Ruth Circle meets at 7:30 p.m. Monday. Wesleyan Circle meets at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Norwalk Church of Christ

Sunday lessons will focus on Hebrews 12 at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. This church also has Bible studies for all ages at 9:30 a.m. Sunday and at 7 p.m. Wednesday. More information about this church is available at norwalkchurch.org.

Latter Rain Deliverance Ministry

Wakeman Congregational

WAKEMAN This church, located at 32 Abbott St., will have a service at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. The Rev. Edgar Shelly will give the third message in his series on the Ten Commandments titled "My Time is His Time," based on Exodus 20:7. Holy communion will be served.

Associate pastor Joe Todd is organizing a class for all ages to meet during the Sunday school hour and will use "The Purpose Driven Life" by Rick Warren. The books are free and more information is available by calling Todd at (440) 667-9855 or the church at (440) 839-2316.

The church donated $1,250 this year to the Mary Lee Tucker Clothe-a-Child campaign. These funds came from the fudge sale chaired by Diane Garner.

Norwalk Alliance

"Living as a Lighthouse: A Study of 1 & 2 Thessalonians" continues in both the 9 and 10:45 a.m. Sunday worship services. The Rev. Wayne Mushett will lead the worship team as well as providing special music with an interpretation of Bebo Norman's "I Will Lift My Eyes." Jim and Carol Cardman will be leading children church during the first service. Bible fellowships for all ages are offered during the 10:45 service.

Calvary Baptist, Norwalk

Four new adult classes are offered for the Sunday school hour at 9 a.m. They are the Homebuilders class "Making Children Mind Without Losing Yours," Explorers class for senior adults, "It Matters What We Believe," the Image Bearers class, "Great Bible Doctrines" and the Encounter class, "God as He Wants You to See Him."

There is a change for the youth meetings of the church. The junior high youth group will meet from 6 to 7:15 p.m. Sundays while the senior high group will meet from 7 to 8:15 p.m. Wednesdays.
