Two Milan motorists who don't have any prior drunken-driving convictions have been charged with driving under the influence in connection with separate traffic stops.
William S. Reed, 52, of 38 Oakfield Drive, was stopped by Trooper Eddie Lopez, of the state Highway Patrol, for reportedly driving on the wrong side of the road. The traffic stop happened at 9:53 p.m. May 21 on U.S. 20 in Norwalk Township.
Reed's breath had a blood alcohol content level of .122 percent, according to the patrol. The legal limit for drivers in Ohio is .08 percent. Reed was charged with driving on the wrong side of the road and DUI.
At 2:40 p.m. Sunday, Erin C. McManus, 31, of 31 Twin Oaks Drive, was stopped by Sgt. Brian Mamere on Shawmill Road near Plank Road.
McManus, whose BAC tested at .169, was charged with DUI and going left of center.
