A Wakeman defendant pleaded guilty Friday to attempted theft of drugs.

Jared R. Holland, 24, of 6080 Zenobia Road, faces six to 12 months behind bars when he is sentenced July 16 in Huron County Common Pleas Court. His conviction is for a May 5, 2013 incident.

Holland, who earlier posted a $5,000 bond, is prohibited from having any association with the victim, court administrator Linda Stower said.
