Like any 150-year-old, it's showing wear and tear.

Water damage, including frozen liquid, has taken its toll on the Milan Township Civil War Monument, which is cracked and missing the names of three Civil War veterans, as well as their location and dates of death.

But the Milan Township Trustees, who own the monument located in the village square, plan to restore it through a $70,000 project. A story about the project was published Thursday in the Norwalk Reflector. I'm surprised the govt. doesn't make these communities take these monuments down,to them veterans are nothing but terrorists!
