Huron County officials are quietly working out the details regarding a long-term lease agreement for the business complex at the Huron County Airport.

Carl Knapp, executive director of the Huron County Development Council, updated the airport board on the progress at a recent meeting.

Knapp said the potential client is interested in a three-year lease agreement, with the option for three more. The client has inquired about a large amount of office and hangar space, as well as a portion of the maintenance area.

A key component of this potential deal is the business complex is in need of $60,000 to $70,000 in renovations and the client is not willing to foot that bill.
