An intruder was shot and killed this morning by a South Side resident, the resident’s daughter said.

Stacy Mounts said her parents, Emerson and Nancy Frazier, were being questioned this morning by Columbus police. Emerson “Moley” Frazier is 69. His wife is 58.

Police were called to 990 Bruckner Rd. shortly before 4 a.m. on a report of a burglary.

Mounts gave this account of what happened:

An alarm went off a few days ago indicating an intruder in the garage, but the intruder fled.

Early this morning, the alarm went off again, and her parents went outside to investigate. They found two men in the garage. The men beat her parents. Then her father, who had brought a gun with him, shot one of the assailants. The other fled.

The wounded man was taken to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center.

Though police were unavailable to confirm that the man died, Mounts said the family was told that he did.

He has not been identified.

Good for them. I only wish he would of hit both men.

That's what I'm talking about! About time one of these junkie robbers gets a taste of reality! Let it be a message to all others who don't want to get a job and think they should rob people who actually work hard for what they have.

Your neighbor
