Norwalk man sentenced to nine years in prison for attempted rape

A Norwalk man was sentenced Thursday to prison for a sex crime, while Huron County Common Pleas Judge Earl McGimpsey gave another local man four months in the Huron County Jail for a separate sexual offense. Javier Galvez-Roblero, 28, of 14B Ontario St., was sentenced to nine years in prison and was classified as a habitual sex offender for attempted rape, a first-degree felony. Huron County Prosecutor Russell Leffler said the defendant sexually assaulted a 12-year-old relative.
