A Norwalk woman charged with a felony and misdemeanor crimes following a high-speed chase last week was again pulled over this week, accused of continuing to drive with a suspended license.

At 10:53 a.m. Monday, Norwalk resident Jacquelin M. Warner, 20, of 26 Spring St., Norwalk, was charged with driving with a suspended license during a Thomas Drive traffic stop by Bellevue police.

Last Thursday, Warner reportedly sped away from a traffic stop, crashed her vehicle and then led an officer on a high-speed chase back to her residence Thursday.

That traffic stop happened on U.S. 20 between Fort Monroe near the industrial park and Ohio 99 in Monroeville. Police Sgt. Frank Gleason made the stop at 10:15 a.m.

"She was traveling 22 miles over the speed limit," Gleason said.

After the officer made contact with Warner, he determined she had a suspended license.

"She said she was never notified by the BMV and was going to continue to drive," Gleason said.

Gleason, as he issued Warner a citation, said he told Warner she needed to have a licensed driver retrieve her vehicle, but she again said since the BMV didn't notify her about her suspension, she planned to continue driving.

"She put it in drive and took off at a high rate of speed," Gleason said.

Warner went northbound on Ohio 99. As she approached a "sharp curve" in the 4700 block, she went off the left side. Warner then overcorrected, crossed the center line and went off the left side of the road again before her vehicle spun sideways, Gleason said.

The vehicle stopped in the driveway at 4771 Ohio 99, Monroeville.

"Unbelievably, she was able to get the vehicle going again," Gleason said.

Warner went eastbound on Ohio 113 "at speeds exceeding 90 mph," he said. The posted speed limit is 55 mph. Warner next drove down Lovers Lane Road and turned onto Whittlesey Road toward Norwalk.

"She ended up driving back to her residence. ... We ended up back there at Spring Street," Gleason said.

The Huron County Sheriff's Office assisted Gleason during the high-speed chase, which lasted about 25 minutes.

Warner was arrested and charged with one felony count each of failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer and possession of drugs. Warner also faces multiple traffic violations, including driving with a suspended license.

Gleason said he found some prescription pills in the suspect's vehicle, but declined to say where he made the discovery.

Warner was transported to the Huron County Jail on Thursday and later was released after posting bond, leading to Monday's traffic stop in Bellevue.

It's really sad. She was a good student and such cute kid. In another five years we will see her photograph in the before heroin / after heroin shots. Get your act together girl! Your worth more than this!

mitchhegedusic

She doesn't do heroin, never has and never will

ladydye_5

If you re-read it, the comment says IN FIVE YEARS...doesn't say she does.

Mentioning heroin at all is uncalled for. I don't blame Mitch for commenting on that stupid statement.

whatsyourissue

Ok, she might be pretty as pointed out in comments of the last article, but she's stupid. Obviously she doesn't give a crap about the law, so she needs to sit her pretty lil butt in jail for awhile. And hopefully her loved ones will try to help her since it's obvious she has a drug problem or mental issue.

ladydye_5

Sounds to me she is one of those that thinks she is entitled to do what she wants, when she wants. No one has ever told her no or to have respect for others. Heck, sounds like she has no respect for herself either.

fedup2

This is very sad to read..I have known her for a number of years. Hope she gets the help she needs! She has so much potential..praying for you Jacqueline

i agree, it's getting harder to tell men from women in these politically correct, everybody minority equal times we live in now, but it's the men who look like women. she looks pretty fine to me. i think i will marry her!

JACKEL

Congratulations ,Mikey !

OMGNEWS

I did read an article recently that says some men in other less industrialized nations like their women a little more on the man side. I think she could do well in that country.

Dr. Information

No regard for the law. Throw her in jail for 90 days, see if that helps.

J Cooper

Spoiled brat, above the law, impound her vehicle for 90 days and give her a test of reality in jail for 30 days.

OMGNEWS

I just want to add I do not find you attractive.
