Two defendants with local connections waived their right to extradition Monday.
That means Amber D. Hutton and Justin A. Zielinski have agreed for authorities from the counties in which they face charges to pick them up from the Huron County Jail.
Hutton, 31, of 520 Milan Ave., Lot 197, is charged with one count each of possession of cocaine and possession of heroin through Muskingum County Common Pleas Court.
"The reason she's up here is because her parents live up here," Huron County Public Defender David Longo said.
Hutton will be released June 15 after serving an unspecified sentence through Bellevue Municipal Court.
Zielinski, 24, of Norwalk, is accused of absconding the supervision of his probation officer. His underlying conviction is possession of heroin through Morrow County Common Pleas Court in 2010.
Longo said Zielinski lives in Norwalk -- which the Adult Parole Authority supposedly knows -- and he's trying to get his supervision transferred to Huron County because he doesn't drive.
"They put him down as absconding, but he physically hasn't gone anywhere," Longo said.
Huron County Common Pleas Judge Jim Conway set Hutton's bond at $25,000 at the request of Muskingum County authorities and Zielinski's bail at $5,000 with a 10-percent provision.
