A Jefferson man could face felony charges after he reportedly drove a truck into an Ashtabula Township business in an attempt to strike an employee with the vehicle.Ashtabula County Sheriff’s Department deputies were dispatched to the Rare Cherry Gentleman’s Club, 3105 Lake Road, shortly after 11 p.m. Monday, for a report of a male suspect that had intentionally rammed his truck into the business while trying to strike a bouncer, according to the Sheriff’s report.

The bouncer told deputies, the suspect was asked to leave the establishment because he inappropriately touched a dancer. The suspect was upset and had to be forcibly pushed to the parking lot after he refused to leave, according to the report.

The suspect then got into a Chevy truck and sat in it, still refusing to leave the property, according to the report.

The bouncer told deputies he went and got a telephone and told the suspect he was calling the police, hoping that would make him leave, but he did not leave, according to the report.

The suspect then reportedly turned the wheels toward the bouncer, who was standing on the sidewalk in front of the entrance, and accelerated toward him, forcing the bouncer to jump out of the way so he wouldn’t get hit. The truck then crashed into the entrance of the building causing significant structural damage, according to the report.

Deputies obtained the suspect’s BMV photo and another person in the club was also able to positively identify him, according to the report.

Jefferson Village Police assisted by going to the suspect’s last known address on North Chestnut St. The suspect’s wife advised police that he was driving his friend’s Chevy pick-up truck. Deputies sent a Be On the Lookout (BOLO) to surrounding law enforcement agencies to stop and hold the suspect if located, according to the report.

The estamated cost of damages to the building was not available.

Here is a picture of the owner showing the clubs damage. I wonder if she worked up the ranks to ownership?
