Helping build a house is on St. Paul High School graduate Nicole Reikowski's bucket list.

The adventure on which she will embark this summer doesn't have to be. But for charitable folks who enjoy long-distance bike trips (the 3,920-mile variety), the journey is probably not too low on their list.

Reikowski, a senior Ohio University student majoring in music therapy, will pedal from Providence, R.I. to Seattle, Wash. in 71 days. She and others will not only bike the long distance, but stop about 10 times to build homes, Reikowski said.

The young men and women will travel under Bike and Build, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that encourages young adults to raise awareness about affordable housing by biking.
