Roasts and Toasts

Toast all of the area students involved in productions at their schools. Last weekend St. Paul students performed "Crazy For You." This past weekend Norwalk High School students performed "Beauty and the Beast," while Edison students "Thoroughly Modern Millie." Today, fifth-graders at Western Reserve are going to perform in an opera. All of the schools around the area have their "time in the spotlight" and all of the students put in hours and hours of work to make these productions a success. Congratulations to all of the students, teachers and parents involved for all of their hard work. Roast the piles of snow we are still battling halfway through the month of March. This is getting a little bit ridiculous. We know it's not nice to mess with Mother Nature, but enough is enough. The only hope now is for a slow thaw so we don't have to battle more flooding problems in the area.

Roast the piles of snow we are still battling halfway through the month of March. This is getting a little bit ridiculous. We know it's not nice to mess with Mother Nature, but enough is enough. The only hope now is for a slow thaw so we don't have to battle more flooding problems in the area.

Toast Kevin McCrann, Hans Hoffmann and the late Dave Culver for their induction Saturday night into the Norwalk USBC Bowling Association Hall of Fame. The three are the 37th, 38th and 39th inductees into the local hall of fame, including charter members William Blinzley, Donald O. Crow, Robert Goul, Cecil W. Goul, Charles D. Grine, Otto J. Isele, Samual H. Kelms, Harry H. Meagrow and Elmer H, Mook. Bowling has a long, proud tradition in the Maple City and Huron County, and the hall of fame is a good way to honor those who have meant so much to the sport.

Roast not only the high price of gas, but the high price of diesel fuel. We all know when drivers are pumping in that diesel for $4 per gallon, we are the ones who eventually pay the price. Drivers have to make up the difference somewhere, and as usual it always falls back on the consumer.
