The Norwalk City Schools board of education approved four dual-enrollment courses at Norwalk High School during a recent meeting.

NHS students can take psychology, sociology, calculus I and calculus II through North Central State College in Mansfield for the 2014-2015 academic year. Students can choose to take the classes for high-school or college credit.

"If they don't want to try college credit, they don't have to," Superintendent Dennis Doughty said. "This is our first experiment with dual enrollment."
