Norwalk insurance agent injured in head-on crash

HURON TOWNSHIP - A Norwalk insurance agent was charged with driving left of center in connection with a Huron Avery Road head-on collision Tuesday afternoon. Cindy Norcross, 41, of Huron, was cited after she went left of center while heading south on Huron Avery Road just south of Fox Road. Troopers with the Sandusky post of the state Highway Patrol said her 2004 GMC Yukon hit the 2005 Dodge Stratus driven by Susan Gundlach, 46, of Huron, about 4:45 p.m.

HURON TOWNSHIP - A Norwalk insurance agent was charged with driving left of center in connection with a Huron Avery Road head-on collision Tuesday afternoon.

Cindy Norcross, 41, of Huron, was cited after she went left of center while heading south on Huron Avery Road just south of Fox Road. Troopers with the Sandusky post of the state Highway Patrol said her 2004 GMC Yukon hit the 2005 Dodge Stratus driven by Susan Gundlach, 46, of Huron, about 4:45 p.m.

Norcross was treated and released from Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky. Gundlach was listed in serious condition in the intensive care unit of St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo this morning. Both women were wearing their seatbelts.

Troopers said alcohol and/or drugs were not factors. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and were towed from the scene.
