Move over, Casa Fiesta. A new Mexican restaurant is coming to town.

Norwalk Mayor Rob Duncan told the Reflector this week that a new Mexican restaurant will open at 203 Cline St., the site formerly occupied by Sugarcreek Restaurant.

“Yes, that is being opened by some local boys,” the mayor said. “Their goal is to be open by Cinco de Mayo (May 5).”

A story about business expanding or coming to Norwalk was published in Tuesday's Norwalk Reflector. “Yes, that is being opened by some local boys,” the mayor said.

Translation: Don't worry white people.

I'm sure in the full article he said more than that but it's funny that's the quote they went with. Congrats to whomever is opening this and good luck! Its nice to see some jobs coming back to Norwalk.

I wonder if these were the same people that were looking at the old Bob Evans building? Either way, it will be interesting to see how they differentiate themselves from the competition. Casa has an outdoor atmosphere for those who prefer dining outside when the weather is nice, which could prove to be a competitive vantage point in the upcoming months...I am excited to see how they stack up!

I still till today haven't step foot and patronized the establishment who continued making a great living even after being busted for tax fraud, hiring illegals etc. while serving time, like most in the city did.. Casa is packed most evenings, and it "was" good food, not to take that away, but not my money..
It was just wrong and i can not support a convicted man who did what he was doing... So it will be nice to have another choice for Mexican food.

Wow, care to re-think your statement? You come accross as a total bigot and a-s wipe.

KnuckleDragger

Do the resident religious bigot now believes he should call everyone else out on their bigotry? Since that is all you seem to post anymore why not just fade away?

Seriously? KKK is meeting in the woods somewhere near you. Feel free to attend the initiation rally and cross burning rehearsal. Not racist are you?

A democratic meeting, oh boy.

It should be a law that ALL restaurants have someone who speaks English take your order, but I want Brown people to actually make my food! Lmao

ladydye_5

Do you eat at the Chinese Restaurant? They have all Chinese working there too. They do not hire "white people" either. What do you guys eat....just pizza? Burger King?

Home cooked meals are the best.

JMOP

Glad to have more choices as to where to eat. I wish this business good luck, as well as their competitor(s). Let's see who can satisfy the consumer the best!

Keep your dog on a leash.

Glad it's not another pizza place.

What the locals call Mexican food clearly have never been to Southern California, Texas or Mexico. Best U.S. Mexican food, El Adobe de Capistrano in San Juan Capistrano, California.

The PowWow lounge in Tucumcari N. M.

Apparently you've never eaten at Rancharitos in Salt Lake City Utah.

rickross2

Apparently, you've never "Ran for the Border" or "thought outside the bun"..... Taco Bell's what's up!
