Accused thief gets trial date

Since defenant has several felony convictions, he could be sentenced to prison if found guilty of latest charge.

A Willard man accused of theft has a June 17 trial date.

Curtis M. Hale, 34, of 515 E. Howard St., entered a "not guilty" plea to one count of theft in connection with a Jan. 23 incident. If convicted, he faces six to 12 months behind bars.

Since Hale has several felony convictions, he could be sentenced to prison.

The defendant earlier posted 10 percent of a $5,000 bond. He is prohibited from being on the Pearl Street, Willard, victim's property.
