Milan village administrator Kevin Ackerman will retire from public service effective May 16.

Ackerman, who also serves as the village's water/wastewater superintendent and has spent 30 years into public service, made the announcement Wednesday. The matter was discussed that night during the village council meeting.

Kevin is a great guy...
30 YEARS PEOPLE.. doesn't anyone read?
His kids are grown, his wife has a good partnership with family business.. Why work anymore 30 yrs, get a retirement.. I think it is great and still be in your 50's and start traveling or what ever??? Life is way too short to just work for the sake of being a small town somebody. Kevin is not an ego man like so many in a small town position.
Enjoy life Kevin and Beth you have been doing well with yourselves, time to enjoy what else is out there.
