Huron County Commissioner Gary Bauer said the $15,342,798 budget the board passed means "we're much better off than we were three or four years ago."

Bauer said department heads previously received the tentative final budget. He added only a "couple minor adjustments" were made and the final budget is very close to what they'd seen.

This year's budget is up from last year's, board president Joe Hintz said. He said it was in the $14 million range.
