Year's first baby at Willard's Mercy Hospital arrives Jan. 3

WILLARD Addysen Renee Pope was a little late to ring in the New Year at Mercy Hospital of Willard, but arrived on Jan. 3. According to her mom Rebecca, baby Addysen was actually due Jan. 2. Arriving at at 9:20 a.m., she was delivered by cesarean section by Dr. Woo Paik. She weighed 7 pounds 1 ounce and was 20 inches long. "We were glad Dr. Paik was here," said Rebecca, "he was on vacation over the holidays so he got back just in time." Bryan said when he and his wife got to the hospital the lady in admitting actually looked up on the computer and told us she would probably be the first baby of the year.
