According to the officials on the scene, both vehicles were heading south on Ohio 61. Chad T. Grix, of Galion, passed an ODOT snowplow, which was turning left on Snyder Road. The impact crushed the front of Grix's vehicle, while damaging the left side of the snowplow.

Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.

Grix was taken to FTMC with what appeared be non-life-threatening injuries.

Laura Colbert, of Norwalk, was driving the snowplow. She said two cars had just passed her and she did not even see Grix's car coming before it hit her.

Colbert said she was not injured.

Charges are pending. An official at the scene said Grix could be charged with improper passing.
