The Level 2 snow emergency for Huron County issued by Sheriff Dane Howard remained in effect as of noon today (Thursday, March 13).
That means roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Roads also may be very icy. Only those who feel it is necessary to drive should be on the roads. Contact your employer to see if you should report to work. Motorists should use extreme caution.
In Ohio, there are three levels of snow emergency, with a Level 1 being the mildest.
Wednesday's snowstorm forced all area schools except Plymouth-Shiloh to cancel classes that day. Plymouth-Shiloh then dismissed students early.
Today, Bellevue, Edison, Monroeville and Willard also closed, while most other districts began the day with a two-hour delay.
