Wind advisory continues for Huron County

A wind advisory issued by the National Weather Service in Cleveland remains in effect for Huron County.

Here are some details from the weather service:

.A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE EAST OF THE LOCAL
AREA EARLY THIS AFTERNOON. WEST TO SOUTHWEST WINDS BEHIND THE
FRONT WILL CONTINUE THIS AFTERNOON. SUSTAINED WINDS OF 20 TO 35
MPH WITH GUSTS IN EXCESS OF 45 MPH ARE EXPECTED. THE STRONGEST
GUSTS WILL OCCUR DURING THE AFTERNOON HOURS.

...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST THIS EVENING...

* WINDS...SOUTHWEST TO WEST WINDS WILL INCREASE TO 20 TO 35 MPH
  WITH GUSTS IN EXCESS OF 45 MPH EXPECTED.

* TIMING...THIS AFTERNOON AND THIS EVENING WITH THE STRONGEST
  GUSTS EXPECTED DURING THE AFTERNOON.

* IMPACTS...A FEW LIMBS...TREES AND POWER LINES MAY BE BLOWN DOWN.
  LIGHT WEIGHT OBJECTS SHOULD BE SECURED TO PREVENT THEM FROM
  BEING BLOWN AROUND.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

WINDS OF THESE MAGNITUDES MAY CAUSE MINOR PROPERTY DAMAGE WITHOUT
EXTRA PRECAUTIONS. MOTORISTS IN HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES SHOULD USE
CAUTION UNTIL THE WINDS SUBSIDE.
