Norwalk police flay mayor's pay statement

Norwalk police are still trying to get city officials to talk wages but city hall says the issue is closed.

Said the FOP of the mayor's remark. "If asking for government of this city to sit down with its employees to have a fair and honest wage negotiation is what you call demanding, then you are right. We are just that."

The FOP also asked, "Possibly if all city employees from every department combined into one strong bargaining power would your answer still be no negotiations, if you are unhappy with your pay, quit?"
