It turns out this burglary complainant was wanted on a separate warrant.

Brandon L. Gabriel, 21, of Mansfield, reported a suspected burglary at a North Pleasant Street house. He filed the complaint with the Norwalk Police Department at 7:47 a.m. Tuesday.

"He's the victim," Capt. Mike Conney said.

Police have identified some suspects, but no arrests have been made as of Wednesday.

Conney said Gabriel recognized "a couple of the fellows (who) ran from the house." The victim reported the theft of a Xbox 1 and Xbox 360 video game systems, one controller, a couple games and some speakers.

During the investigation, police determined Gabriel was wanted on a Norwalk Municipal Court warrant.

He was charged with failure to pay restitution on the original conviction of receiving stolen property. Gabriel was released on a personal recognizance bond.
