The latest from your local Facebook weatherman

It's not a professional meteorologist providing or your friendly television weatherman providing updates about local storms, but 2010 Bellevue High School graduate Jake Schnee.

You might refer to him as a 24/7 Facebook weather and disaster man for Huron, Erie, Sandusky and Seneca counties -- especially during times of extreme weather, when he goes into weather mode.

Schnee said friends have told him they don't watch television or listen to weather reports -- except his.

"Safety is my priority," Schnee said. "If they don't know what's coming on, I want them to know so they can take the appropriate action before something hits."

A feature story about Schnee was published recently in the Norwalk Reflector.
